Plan for class

Greetings students. My name is Bailey Norwood and I am a professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics. This fall I will be teaching three weeks of your AGEC 2990—Deeper Analysis of AGEC Issues course.

I like to use my time in this class to take you outside and do something active.

My part of the course will be held Thursdays, 2:00-2:50 on April 13, 20, and 27.

This is our schedule for these three dates:

  • April 13: We will meet at the northwest corner of corner of Ag Hall at 2 PM. Vans will take us to the dairy farm just west of campus where we will bottle feed dairy calves. We will return by 2:50.
  • April 20: We will meet at the northwest corner of corner of Ag Hall at 2 PM. Vans will take us to the dairy farm just west of campus where we will learn to milk cows both by hand and by machine. We will return by 2:50.
  • April 27: We will meet at the northwest corner of corner of Ag Hall at 2 PM. We will then visit the soil test laboratory in Ag Hall and learn how they test for the pH of soils.
